Tess began earthlifegardens after studying design and plants and planting at Capel Manor qualifying in 2010. Later taking a City and Guilds in Hard landscaping. Services offered are design/plant design and maintenance.

An Outline of The Design Process

Consultation – First free initial meeting to define brief and get an idea of budget. A confirmation of brief will be sent and agreed in writing before work commences. Design fees tend to be around the 20% mark on an overall job cost.

A survey will be taken to understand layout of space – existing trees, aspect etc – this can be done by earth life or if unusually complicated a surveyor will undertake.

Sketch Designs – examples of design ideas will be shown at next meeting and one chosen to begin the creating of your ideal garden. The sketch process should take around 2-3 weeks.

Final design for approval will be shown once completed and any changes should be noted now.
A full design will be provided for tendering to clients choice of contractor.
