Project: Hampstead Garden Suburbs Work in Progress
Front Garden Before
The tree was completely out of scale for the garden and filled it entirely. The central steps were broken and the drive a little on the tight side to navigate to house
After – same aspect very different view
The new plan moved the central steps over to the right and wrapped them with planting beds more in keeping with the scale of the house. The end result meant that the garden was reclaimed and the drive could be enlarged just enough for easier access.
Careful thought given to natural materials that were sympathetic to the Conservation area and enhanced the house so much more than what was replaced.
Planting choice of an Acer gives contrast and elegance.
Drive was widened and Sandstone setts give a rustic feel.
Rear Before –
A patio too small for a family to use was in need of updating.
After –
Careful planning gives space for a lounging area, extra dining/relaxing area and a new expanse of lawn.
